The first time I did UD2 I thought I was supposed to lift exploively on the depletion workouts. It was really painful. Slow reps was like a holiday the next cycle when I got things clarified.

Why not make her do just highreps like 20+? That would probably maintain and build muscles as good as lowreps and heavy weights since she is a beginner and dieting. And it is better for fat loss.

I bet that how long you should stay on ud2 depends on your bf. If you are at 14% I bet you can do 8 weeks before needing a break. If you are at 8%, 4 week would more ideal.
