Knowing that I still lapse into periods of eating too much low effort food because it is easy, doesn't spoil (quickly anyway) and scratches my itch for salt.

Yeah it kind of has to be water/waste.

Feel like the water intake is pretty good. And usually about a fist sized portion of fibrous veggies with most meals.

Just have to wait it out...

If you want to feel proactive try eating some cucumber. Watermelon can be good too, but cucumber fits RFL.

I've often encountered posters on MyFitnessPal that say my calories are X amount and mean that as their net after "eating back" exercise calories as estimated by the app....
