i can't believe i've only just come across this article now.
i've been suffering with what i believe to be elevated cortisol levels for over a year now and my body has been constantly retaining water. I put this down to the fact that not only do i lift x3 a week, but i've been using walking as a tool to increase NEAT. sometimes i average 25-30k on average every day. I go from a week of looking normal to a week of looking like a whale.
