I only had a handful of races planned as it was. Currently I'm simply trying to hold some aerobic conditioning until I get my act together. Realistically, this season is probably over. Maybe Houston but it's doubtful.
I think a lot of it was not taking into account the stresses of racing (very different than on the ice) or travel (Haven't done it in over a decade). In hindsight, I should have made the week back after Napa a recovery week.
But I had an event I thought I could target in Chicago and jumped back into a volume phase to try to prepare. And cratered a week later. Some other life stress probably contributed. So it goes, I learned.
