Yeah, I don't think they are planning to surgically remove womens' ovaries to help them lose weight.

I took it more as, hey, we notice that menopause causes these changes in women (metabolism, fat pattern) and now we think that is because of FSH, so maybe we can give them a pill to block that.

And when they tried it in mice they found an unexpected level of fat loss.

Not likely to be helpful to the general population, or even old ladies that really just eat too much and don't move enough vs. "average".

It might even just lead to a general reformulation of HRT therapy.
