Thanks for the replies. I did note that the book recommends reducing standard maintenance calories by 10%. I've also read (I think here) that after dieting, metabolisms very rarely bounce back fully. So is that 10% below standard recommendations for maintenance also valid once one is finished dieting? (Say - to go to a longer-term maintenance phase)? I guess one just has to tweak it and see.
