Red face Chasing the Girl I Used to Be <Fat Loss Log>

Hello everyone.

I'm not new to RFL or to logging or dieting or training ... but - It certainly feels like I need to hit the RESET button.

First, thanks to everyone who makes this forum so welcoming. I didn't realize until now just how much I miss the sense of community and being a part of that. These boards feel like the missing piece.

Cliffs:

-Was lean and lifting and feeling good about myself and my goals. A physique show was on my bucket list (still is!)
-2014 Got separated from my spouse of 12 years.
-Gained a LOT of fat.
-This past October, the divorce was final and I feel free and happy again!
That said, it's time to focus 100% on ME again. Getting back to feeling good in my own skin and winning small victories is what I'm after.

This Sunday will mark the official start of Week 2 of RFL for me. Weight has been all over the darn place but that's normal for me so I'm not worried.

AM Weight
149.9

Goal Weight
128

Timeline
180 days (or less) but doing it right, not letting the pendulum swing and STOP eating all together (Oops...) or eat everything in sight like I was.

Sincere thanks to you all again, and wish me luck! <3
Mo

Thumbs up Step counters?

Hello all. I use the Pedomoter app on my iPhone. I've become obsessed with checking if it's counting properly! LOL

Do you find it matters (accuracy wise) what pocket you carry your phone in?

I'm no help with specifics, I'm an Android phone devotee and use a Garmin Vivofit on my wrist to track steps.

Is your concern that it's over-counting or under-counting?

I feel like it's over counting. I also feel like I'm worrying about this way too much! ha ha I appreciate your input!

Maybe borrow a friend's tracker / buy a cheapo pedometer (or see if your local library has one -- mine gives them out with library cards) and wear both for an afternoon, and see if the counts are reasonably similar?

You probably are worrying too much about nothing, but I totally sympathetize with how a brain can latch onto one thing in your fitness/diet plan and refuse to budge. It can be crazy-making!

Sunday AM weight: 153.1 (post reefed)

Today's weight: 149.2

Wishing you all a happy Monday and a great start to your RFL week!

Edit: OMG I severely underestimated the amount of activity I actually get in a day. My step counts are .. well.. not worth posting ha.

Averaging on 3000 steps per day. This week my goal is to double that at least.

Cheers, Mo

I feel ya! I knew I wasn't extremely active, but when I got my fitness tracker I was surprised at how few steps I was getting every day.

Why is 3000 steps bad? On RFL you're not supposed to be very active. Actually, you're doing it according to plan.
