Question True Protein not cheapest?

So i guess Trueprotein.com is only cheaper once you start to buy more at once (+5lbs.)?

because on bb.com (i know its an awful site, but still) 2lbs. ON casein is the same price as on tp.com, and 5lbs. is actually cheaper (even with the promo code!)

Yet, i still hear how good tp.com is. Is the protein better tasting or something? why all the hype?

Was it stated somewhere that they were the cheapest?
As with most things, the prices vary - and generally bulk anything is going to be the cheapest way to go.

Personally I tried a few of the proteins from there and even though I normally don't care much about taste, I still couldn't get over any of the whey flavor mixes - so I just went with ON and then buy pretty much everything else from TP.

Protein is protein - TP, ON, or any other brand isn't adding anything magical other than advertising and fun names as long as you are comparing apples to apples.

Amazon with Subscribe and Save is generally the cheapest for casein, but limits your flavor choices (ie, no chocolate cake batter, seems to be exclusive to bb.com).

bb.com is not an awful site, its very well designed/developed, and they ship out their products very fast...Something trueprotein doesn't do for various reasons. Trueproteins reccession bundles are great...

oh no, the only thing i use their site for is ordering things. I was referring more to the forums on there. too much bro science/close-mindedness for my liking. I guess i shouldn't have generalized like that.

and yea for the price the bundles are great, but i dont think I'll ever need that much protein lying around haha.

I use netrition.com. They are typically the cheapest and ship incredibly quickly (from NY).

They look to be 2 bucks cheaper for the ON Casein 2lb and 4 bucks cheaper for the 4lb:

PLUS... Shipping is always $5 and like BB.com you get something free with every order over $75.

Because when they say 5lbs of protein, they mean 5lbs of protein. When you get ON Casein you are getting 4.5lbs(or so) of protein and the rest is flavoring and whatnot. TP is also popular because of their precision in terms of custom ordering.

heck I got some whey from costco for arguably the most competitive price out there.

BTW Trueprotein's answer to "cheap casein" is their milk protein isolate. I ordered some a few days ago and it shipped next day, so I think they might have sped up some.
