Default Muscle imbalances in the annoying muscles

So, I have a metatarsal that keeps breaking (seems to be fixed now), but this means I have been limping on and off for about 2 years.

The result is the tiny annoying muscles (hip flexors, abductors/adductors, deep hip external rotators, even my obliques, erector spinae and peroneus's) that most don't think about are crazily imbalanced on both sides, and quite weak generally.

They are easy enough to isolate and strengthen, but are they meant to be trained on the same frequency as the larger muscles, 1.5-2 times a week?

You can train strength in those muscles with physio rehab style routines at home. Don't throw them into your gym time
