i actually take sometimes a cold shower or bath in the morning after waking up.
(not ice, just cold)
And i like it because i got a huge energy rush after it.
But i wondering if a taking a cold bath after training really increase recovery?
i know that lots of athletes are doing it after training for many years but i don't really see how cold water speeds up recovery.
First cold water narrows the blood-vessels so its reduce the amount of blood into the muscle whats slows recovery (i think)
Second its very stressful and skyrocket stress hormones like cortisol?
what do you think?
