So, that being said, side effects have been minimal. Other than light hot flashes and harder breathing, I've had some neuritis symptoms that dissipated with ALCAR, GLA, and NA-R-ALA, betaine anhydrous. I also take calcium pyruvate for the hell of it, drink V8, and take a magnesium supplement/multi, fish oil.

Anyway, pretty happy so far. No sleep disturbances to report.
Exactly the kind of post that made me ask my question about supplements. None of the substances RTBoss mentioned are in the FAQ so are they worth taking for the neuropathic sides?

I forgot to mention I added Meriva curcumin, along with bioperine to enhance bioavailability of the curcumin, as well.

I just researched possible supplements that benefit diabetic neuropathy as well as those that may be beneficial in protecting myelin sheaths of the nerves.

Specifically for protecting myself against possible neuropathic sides:

Acetyl-l-carnitine (500mg 2x/day)
ALA (I use na-r-ala)
Vitamin D3 (5000 iu daily)
Lecithin and/or choline
GLA (you can take GLA, evening primrose oil, or borage oil)
Meriva curcumin (Jarrow brand)
Raw b-complex
Fish oil (1 tablespoon of Carlson's or Vitacost)
B-12 in addition to b-complex (methylcobalmin)

Other supps I use:

Pyruvate 1g 3x/day
V8 low sodium
V8 Fusion Light (8 ounces of each daily)
400mg magnesium oxide 3/x day
Multivitamin
Chlorella
Spirulina
Sulforaphanes (ie BroccoMax or similar)
Taurine
Betaine anhydrous (1/2 tsp 2x/day)
ECA (20mg ephedrine 200mg caffeine 2-3x/day)
Baking soda (1/4 tsp 2x/day)
HMB free acid 3x/day (to preserve LBM, not sure if its even necessary)

Yeah, I'm a supplement whore. Just hope everything on the list is beneficial/protective and I'm not doing anything that would exacerbate side effects.

If you are this afraid of DNP, here's an easier solution: don't use it.

I take most of those things regardless of DNP usage. For me, it's just being cautious. I would liken it to wearing a seatbelt in the car - if I decide to wear it, it doesn't mean I'm afraid the driver is going to get me into a wreck.

Anyhow, I left out a few things off my list, since I need to look at my pile o' supps to remember them all:

Korean red ginseng
Astragalus powder (2g/day)
creatine mono 5g
Sulbutiamine 300mg
Anabeta Elite (which includes forskohlin)
Vitamin K2 mk-7
dhea 100mg/day in divided doses

My wife thinks I'm nuts, and I'm okay with that - so I'm more than okay with people I don't know thinking the same, or worse!

And your supplement bill in a month must be astronomical. I'm with your wife, it is a bit nuts. How are you not afraid to walk out of your house and not get hit by a meteor every day? Or do you also wear a helmet all the time?

Perhaps your reading comprehension skills could use some updating. Do I need to reiterate that your opinion means jack squat to me?

The monthly bill isn't so bad, actually. I buy in bulk quite often, and some other things I've had lying around for awhile. I use them as needed. I also have plenty of disposable income, so that's nice. Quite a few items on my list are ergogenic in nature, or have a specific health benefit that I'm after. Of course, I will admit that taking DNP and talking about taking care of your health seem contradictory. But, like Lyle has said in past posts, if you aren't a dumbass and use a low dosage, it's a moderately safe chemical.

Just because he takes them doesn't mean they are useful, and just because a supplement isn't in the FAQ doesn't mean it won't help. It is not as if the FAQ holds all the answers, just a majority based around scientific literature. That said, RTBoss's rationale for all the supplements isn't bad and with DNP it really is better safe than sorry.

Of course not, Alex, seeing as I get much of my information from Adel...just like you.
