Default During Workout Drink

Would whey+ Gatorade G2 be a poor choice becuase G2 contains high fructose corn syrup as it's sugar source which is probably mainly fuctose and little glucose? Also, what is the take on gatorade or g2 products during workouts on carb refeed days where fructose should be limited?

Thanks again! (Great book btw)

IMO, unless you are an athlete where performance is necessary, you don't need carbohydrates intra-workout.

on refeed days, I would rather eat my carbs as well, much more satisfying, physically and mentally

dont you think the protein book kind of says otherwise? What is your feeling on the high fructose corn syrup present in the gatorade g2?

I'd buy some dextrose (2lbs for 2 bucks on Amazon) or maltodextrin (14 for 7lbs) and mix it with the protein. Probably much cheaper than Gatorade too

Not sure what you mean? DO you mean if you use dextrose that would eliminate the fructose? then yep.

dextrose tends to be sickeningly sweet, I don't think it's best for during workout nutrition, I doubt most would drink much of it

Gatorade is fine.
