One question. Why is it "worth trying"? Does that imply that you've used various diets without success? UD 2.0 is pretty hard if you do it properly, there are much easier diets to get you from 19% to, let's say, 12%.

Thank you for the reply Determinism!

Yes, I have tried other methods without success. I also contributed to the failure due the lack of commitment to them. For some reason after one week I feel very committed to UD2. I have followed the plan for one week and see no problems, but with that said I'd love to hear any suggestion of what could help me.

regards,
FitRican

Well, adherence is by far the most important thing. If UD 2.0 can give you that, it's definitely a good thing.

Although UD 2.0 is not particularly designed for >15% BF, you're still in a weekly deficit causing you to lose fat. It may not be as fast as RFL or as easy as a straight diet, but you will still get results.

Besides, it's a great way to test your mental and physical boundaries

I just got back from my Saturday workout and loved it. The W/O went for 90 minutes, and felt strong and determined and managed the heavy pounds easily. I plan to reduced my carb intake today (by additional 10%) to accelerate the fat/weight loss.

Week 1 Day 6 (Sat).

Cal 2100
Carbs 295 gms
Protein 190 gms
Fat 30 gms

UD2 Week 2 is completed. My weight fluctuates so much day to day that I don't pay attention. My BF% went down 1%. I am so happy because the mirror tells me the program is working.

I had a deficit of about 4000 calories for the week. I really enjoyed the heavy work-out on Saturday and I am looking forward to another week.

Wink Feedback from Wife and Buddies at Work

I am lucky that the company provides a well suited gym in campus. During my workout today 2 of my w/o buddies commented "Are you trying to lose weight?" the other said "Man you look smaller!"
I weighted myself after the workout and there is no change in weight.

My wife also commented "You look slimmer, but please don't get too skinny!"

It is a good feeling.
