Default what type of protein to buy?

I went to order some protein off of the trueprotein.com site and was overwhelmed with all of my option (consentrate, hydro, isolate, etc.) Very confused on what to buy. I was looking for a whey type protein for fast release and a slow release type of casien protein. I am 6 ft 198lbs and about 11% body fat and have been supplementing protein in the morning for breakfast, after workout, and at night. Any suggestions? What type to get and when to take it? I am very open and have been working very hard to get under 10% body fat. Thanks

go with cheap whey or gemma and dont get too caught up in all of the rapid release, isolate, expensive stuff. just make sure you are getting adequate amounts of protein per day and the rest is just deails. oh and make sure to get the premium flavors

a. I think you misread what i wrote (or I wrote it poorly). when I order from trueprotein, I don't bother with anything but those two products. I know a lot of people are on the gemma train but about it's only huge pro is that it's cheap. I think it tastes awful.

b. that said, their prices are vastly cheaper tahn anywhere else I've found, I can get different flavors (e.g. Sarah likes vanilla and I like chocolate) and I can order whatever volume I want.

OK I gotcha. maybe I am an odd duck, but I happened to kinda like the gemma. I find the premium flavors make up for the thickness of it. oh well as long as it doesnt make me grow tits like soy

Milk protein is what most people label casein, right?

Why both the concentrate and the isolate lyle? Do you use one for workouts and one for other times of the day?

I was going to order from trueprotein as well but would really like it if I don't have to spend the extra for isolate. As long as I'm sipping throughout the workout with concentrate, does rate of obsorbtion become less of an issue?

Also, the site says that the concentrate causes a little more bloating. From someone who uses both, is there really a big concern?

you are making this too big of a deal. just get cheap whey concentrate.

lyle was referring to MPI which has casein
