Default Is the UD 2.0 refeed really necessary for cat 1 dieters?

I am a category one dieter who has been doing PSMF for 10 days and in the past I ended up binging on my refeeds but this time around I feel that I don't really need the refeed. I'm thinking just to do a single day refeed and start my bulking diet the next day. Any harm in that?

I just dont feel very fatigued on the diet.

I would probably do a moderate refeed (maybe 5-12 hours) then back to maintenance the next day.

UD 2.0 works because it's an optimized protocol. No concessions, no negotiations. Just apply the rules for the 7-day or 14-day cycle exactly as laid out.

Typically the UD 2.0 would have me eating 600g of carbs, 150g of protein.. whoch, with 50g of fat would put me at ~3500-4000 calories. My maintenance is roughly 2000.

All I want is to have some chipotle, bowl of chinese noodles from pf changs, and some clean carbs and be done with it.

Would move to bulking (2200) the next day.

Is there any benefit to the UD 2.0 way if I'm not trying to lose more fat after the diet? Are all thise carbs really necessary?

I think you misunderstood the question. He is asking about ending a round of RFL with the UD2.0 refeed as outlined in the book. Not about UD2.0 itself.

There is definitely harm in ending a PSMF and going in to a bulking diet the very next day, yes. That's a pretty terrible idea.

Harm? Like what? Put you in hospital? Organ damage? Life changing injury? Short term sickness? What "harm", exactly?
