Default Under Armour Loose fit vs. rags?

Well,

I'm all ready to start in the gym and so my gf decides to surprise me. She bought me a set of UA clothing, (the loose fitting style) to wear at the gym that she says would be better than the rags I was planning on wearing. Nice of her to spend all that money on me but after reading around, it seems that UA is not something to wear because it's too tight fitting and generally makes you look like a tool, unless you're already huge and ripped.

My gf bought me these loose fitting ones. They fit kinda like my rags but look much nicer. So what do you guys think? Should I be wearing the rags or the loose fitting UA?

Cool, I'll normally wear what's comfy. But I don't want to attract any unnecessary attention because I want to remain focussed. From reading around there is a lot of hype about the clothing choices. It makes me wonder if people go to the gym simply to watch what other people are wearing?

So what's with all the UA jokes? (Even in your article your made a joke about it.) LoL.

No, the loose fit is cool. Its just the guys who wear the skin tight stuff that give UA a bad name. You'll be fine in the loose gear, plus its really nice material and very durable to boot. Its the only clothing I wear to workout in anymore.

Glad you're ready to start in the gym.

I have two rules about gym clothing: as long as it doesn't stick, and the holes in the crotch aren't that big, it's fair game to wear.

So, a quick sniff test and backlit window test, and I know that 14 year old t-shirt and shorts combo on the floor of the basement laundry room are good enough to see me through another workout.

I've worn the same shirts for six years now since I started lifting. They're brown with sweat stains but still smell fine.

I like to wear them to see my progress in the mirror.
