Default All Day Chemists

For anyone who would like to know, I received my bromo in about a week. I'd say that's really good considering India to New York. I also called their customer service to track it and got a hold of someone really easily.

Tomorrow is the first day so I'm going to ease into it with 2.5 and see how I feel before bumping up. I also just started Wellbutrin a week ago so this should be interesting.

My allday chemist order took at least 3 weeks to arrive, and I am in the tri-state area.

Lucky you I guess.

I talked to my endocrinologist about trying bromo and she said she'd look into it more and consider it. It potentially hits a lot of the problems I'm having with my body right now: lack of satiety / continued hunger after dieting, increased A1c (but overall very good blood sugar control, maybe one low every two weeks); total lack of libido.

I'm going to send her a few links to studies that I forgot to bring to the appointment. Cross your fingers that I can sell her on it! I know it might not work for me but I want the chance to find out.

Well, that was fast. She said no, pretty much entirely on the basis of "it's been studied for type 2 diabetics but you're a type 1 diabetic." Didn't say anything about my leptin or libido reasons for taking it. Hrm.

Default On bupropion already, thinking adding bromo to it

I was in a pretty bad funk so I started taking bupropion xl 150mg daily about a month ago and just bumped up to 300mg. I have to say that I am feeling better and probably even better than ever. My patience has gone way up while my irritability has gone way down. I've been in a pretty good deficit so hopefully I get some good partitioning effects with my weekly refeed as well. However, it hasn't done much to decrease my appetite like I was hoping.

Two questions,

Does bupropion deal with crashing hormones like bromo?

And I've read here that if I'm taking bupropion then bromo isn't necessary. But if I'm not getting any appetite suppression from bupropion but I am getting psychological benefits, wouldn't it make sense to add the bromo and see if it helps with my appetite?

1st q: Bupropion is both an SDRI and an SNRI the selective norepinephrine action is *POSSIBLY* behind the neural protection against downstream hormone crashes.

2nd q: see post #238 in this thread linky: http://forums.lylemcdonald.com/showp...&postcount=238

the combined sdri/snri actions seems to have positive partitioning effects for incoming calories. for some folks it could make appetite suppression irrelevant.

Default Temp 95.6

Tried bromo years ago and gave up due to sides.
Trying again and being cautious about slowly
Upping dosage. Got a brand new thermometer
Last night to log Morning temps. First
Day was 95.6. Maybe it’s the
Thermometer being out of whack, but that seems
Low, right? That would mean low metabolism correct?
Been on 1.25 mg of bromo for 10 days now.

Sent from iPhone and it’s capitalizing in middle of sentences, sorry.

Validated the low temp w/ another thermometer so it's not a device error. 95.2-95.8 is the range.

Tonight my temp is 94.4. And my heat went out and it’s unusually cold and windy outside. Murphy’s Law. Since google says under 95 is hypothermia I’m now officially concerned. Dropped a line to a buddy who’s a doctor. Meantime, bromo and EC stack shouldn’t make this worse, right? In fact both should increase the temp if I understand correctly.

@dwh, I have the same issue. I tried a couple of refeeds and my temp only rises for a few hours back to normal, then drops again to 35 sth (95F). I'm currently at maintenance calories and its slightly dropping with each passing day! Bizarre. I'm not on EC, tho I get plenty of caffeine, nicotine, and 150mg bupropion
