Default Lyle "Your Personal Trainer Help"

Lyle just wondering since you have been personal trainer for awhile.

Just seeing what worked best for you for tracking clients progress in weightxsetsxreps used while staying in order. And being able to easily see when to progress and look professional lol

Been trying for a year myself but I have just been using steno pads and was curious if you have found better ways to track clients progress in a better way?

By listing the exercises then weight used and sets and reps.

Was thinking excel spreadsheets for each client also..

Just curious what has worked best for you, or ideas that you have seen.

or anyone else who is a trainer could give me some advice on this?

Much appreciated

Sam

1. You needn't put my name in a thread title. I see them all.

2. I always used a piece of paper and a pencil on a clipboard with a workout sheet. But I'm a neo Luddite in many things and this is one of them. I'm sure modern folks use apps and smart phones and tablets and stuff. I can't be asked and it's one more thing to worry about in the gym.

That's a business world trick to iPads in meetings. People think you're taking notes on it, but you're really staying up on email and surfing the net.

I'd be playing the Batman game or Candy Crush Saga if I had a tablet in the gym.

"What are you doing?"
"umm, recording your sets and reps. Dammit, ONLY ONE JELLY SHORT!!!!"
