Default Please help me ensure I have right Category...

Hi.

I am female, 31, 70kg, 162cm. Active (weight lifting).
The calculator with these stats says: Cat 1, 308g protein a day....

I do not REALLY think this is right? If I GUESS my fat % I would say somewhere between 26-30%...

This puts me as Cat 2 142.5g - 135g per day...

Help! The thought of 12 days with no refeed/free meal kind of freaks me out some what....but I also do not want to do the wrong category!!

Thanks in advance!!

If you don't want to wait that long to do a refeed/free meal, go with Cat 2.

What would be the risks of choosing the wrong category?
Obviously hunger.....but anything else?

At 306gm of protein I don't think I would be hungry, because 1200-1300 is what I eat on a typical day anyway! So maybe I wouldn't go mental waiting for a refeed.......

I just want to do it right!

The protein requirements are for optimal muscle retention. The leaner you are (cat 1) the more likely it is to lose a bit of mass with the fat. Cat 2 requires less because at slightly higher body fat, muscle loss is less of an issue.

Thank you.

I will go cat 2 (as I had planned) this first round then reassess...
Will work better with 1-2 social occasions happening as well.

Thanks!!!

You are 162cm, female and weigh 70kg. Let's be clear: you are NOT a category 1. Either the calculator is severely broken, or the details inputed were awry.

You are slightly overweight, unquestionably a category 2, and probably around 30% bf if not slightly more. Go with the Cat 2 rules.

Thanks. Yeh I dont know how the calculator thought I was cat 1. I do have a good muscle base from weight lifting for a year...but I dont think the calculator would know that! haha.

Two more sleeps then I'm into it!!

i am between cat 1 and cat 2 (or marginally cat 1), I understood that i should choose cat 1, however, I can't do 11 days without refeed, so can i just do cat 2 instead?
