Default keto and cancer

Hoping to get Lyle's response on this or if someone can link me any comments he made on the topic.

Will Keto help someone with cancer since I have read some articles claiming cancer cells can not survive off of ketones.

And is a Keto diet unhealthy if followed for long periods of time in a healthy person. I felt great on it slept beautifully and had reduced inflammation. I followed it for 3 1/2 months.

Thank you.

some cancer cell types depend on glucose for fuel. some do not. if a cancer cell depends on glucose a ketogenic diet will slow it down. but not kill the cancer cells. A keto diet cannot replace medical treatments for cancer.

Like you I find sleep quality greatly improves while in ketosis.

as for health and long term keto diets - i'm not convinced that is is superior to non keto diets, but also not convinced it's bad.

No, this is sthe stupidest most dangerous Internet meme in existence. Keto has been shown, at best, to help with ONE type of brain cancer. That's it. Everything else is INternet stupidity.

Glucose can be produced from protein too, and people have plenty to spare.
