Default Any benefits to training after double red blood donation?

I am an O- blood type, so the Red Cross prefers getting double reds from me. Of course after donating my performance is negative impacted and it takes weeks to get back to where I was. My question is there a benefit to training in such a stressed state where there is less red blood cells to transport oxygen? I would think it would be similar to altitude training. Does such benefit vary with age (I'm 50)?

That's not how altitude training works.
