vacation went well, and my neck/shoulder issue healed up.

Phone app suggested a 10 percent deload, due to the time off, which I gladly said yes to

Sunday

Squat 180x5x5
Benh 135x5x5
Row 115x5x5


Tuesday

Squat 185x5x5
OH press 85x5x5
DL 195x1x5

Scale weight 271. Tried to keep diet honest on vacation.

Squat 190x5x5

OH press 95x5x5 (really tough, didn't like the last few reps, so I marked this down as failed attempt)

Deadlift 205x1x5 - need to get some gloves.

Still at it, haven't updated as much as I would like.

Have only missed 1 scheduled workout since my last update.

Squat

After getting to the 135 mark on my warmup, i messed up my groin muscle, and racked the bar

OH press working sets

100x5x5 - this had stalled out at 95 for 3 tries, deloaded worked back up and got past the 100 lb mark easily. Should be able to get 105 no issues.

Deadlift working sets
220x1x5

No problems here, switched up the footwear to Vans and it's really improved my deadlifting.

Decided to do some controlled negative pullups and some "hangs" can't do a proper pullup or chin.. sad I know.

3x8 each

Weighted ab machine

50lbs 3 sets of 40

My weight has stayed under 270 for several weeks now, so I will call that a win. Weight loss a little slower than I was aiming for (average .5lb a week, was aiming for 1lb/week) but it really looks like some recomp is going on. My wife says I look better than I have in years.

Don't be so hard on yourself. All body-weight exercises are tough when you don't have at least 6% body fat.

It's good news to notice that you're motivated to be in this process for the long term.

Switched it up to Starting Strength, to workout with my son.

Got my bench up to 200 worksets now

Squat 225 worksets

DL 275 worksets

OH press 115 worksets.

carrying about 260 now, last bloodwork had things stable.

Still no visible muscle, need to cut some of ths fat LOL>.
