And as soon as you see someone using rat and mice studies, you can ignore anything they have to say fairly safely.
For the reasons Lyle mentioned, rats deal with macronutrients in a very different way to humans. But I have still seen paleotards and low carbers construct vast arguments running into thousands
of words, all based on why this and that rat/mice study prove insulinz is teh evilz. (Amongst other places, there are many great examples of this on the MyProtein forum, which is one of the reasons I started wasting my life here, and stopped posting there).
