I'll second this. I can absoutely feel it coming on as soon as the days start shortening. I don't know how much is the actual "illness" coming on or how much of it is me just anticipating the "illness" but I can feel it for certain.

I stop going to the gym EVERY SINGLE YEAR around late October/early November. And I won't be back until around March or so. I also start drinking daily around that time. Seasonal disorder is some real stuff man. The thing about depression is you can know exactly what you need to do to fight it, but those are the exact things you don't want to do.

I actually signed a 3 month lease and moved to Fort Lauderdale in Jan. 2016 simply to avoid another winter and the oncoming depression. I've never felt healthier than I did those three months in terms of exercise, being social, etc.

Never realized how much SAD affected me before moving to Texass from the Northeast
