![]() why not just search for "rapid fat" "psmf"? Even "category" might work...
EDIT: or "cat1" etc |

![]() The idea that I should have to do all these work arounds and tricks and extra search queries to find what I want when I should be able to simply type in "RFL" is silly. But whatever. Lyle obviously doesn't care so I guess I'll have to live with it. I'm just glad on massive forums like crackberry I can search for simple little three letter words.

![]() Don't mind me sounding brash Lyle, but would it be possible for you to change the search string length to 3 characters.
A 1-page tutorial can be found here. If you could do that, it would certainly reduce the number of threads asking similar qns. |

![]() It's not even as hard as the tutorial makes it out to be.
Go to the Admin panel. Go to vBulletin Options and select Message Searching Options from the dropdown. The 5th option is Search Index Minimum Word Length. Set it to 3. Done.

You cant search for "cat 2" as it won't accept either word. I'd like to pull up all the cat 2 logs |

![]() Yes but it's not the same or as good. If it's as simple as kara says 2 posts above, then I thought it was worth re-asking.
Lyle, is this something you could please try? It seems to be a case of a few mouse clicks. Cheers |
