![]() Hi, I’ve been eating raw and cooked cauliflower along with the diet but I am not smelling like steel taste in my mouth. I did smell this a few years ago when I did the diet with 0 veges. Does this smell go away if your start eating veges? Or am I doing something wrong and should figure out where the carbs are coming from?
What are some other signs that the diet is working after 3 days? After 5? I’m cat 3. |

![]() If you have prior keto style dietary experience in the past you might not notice the "keto breath". Keep in mind RFL limits incoming dietary fat levels so ketone levels won't be as high as a carnivore only diet.
When i'm on RFL my wife notices my keto breath - I don't directly. when i'm on a carnivore only diet we both notice it. To answer the title of your post: Signs that RFP is working: - anything from the following. 1. your scale shows something in the downward mass direction. 2. your clothes fit changes so you need to tighten your belt, or put on smaller clothes 3. your bloodwork results change for better. those are the only three measures that *I* use.

![]() So basically, I'm too used to it? That's interesting. Going to have to watch out a little more for it.
The signs you mentioned are true for any type of weight loss though. I want to make sure my body is using ketones not glucose. So trying to figure out signs of the type of keto you experience in RFP by Lyle. |

RFL done properly will limit your incoming energy so that you body will use it's stored energy. ketosis really does *not* matter for fat loss.

![]() yes. keep in mind that early on, glycogen is used from the liver at first, when the liver glycogen levels drop body fat is the next source.

I've been on it for 36 days now and I don't think I'm even experiencing the metabolic slowdown. I've lost 28 lbs. Personally, I have come to prefer keto when RFL'ing. |
