Carbs choices on carb load day
I am 125# @ 20% BF or roughly 100# lean mass. I calculated my 24 hour carb load period between 700-800g. I am having a hard time stuffing myself with all the carbs. I try to eat 250-300 on day 4. That leaves 450-500g on Day 5.
I try to eat mostly bagels, pasta, and rice with a little junk such as a few peeps or a pop tart on Day 4. Would a post workout drink (Vitargo) be a good replacement for some carbs? I do use it before and after my workout on Day 4 since it claims it can replenish glycogen stores faster than other sports drinks so I think that it's fine. Is this something that can be used on Day 5? Or do I just need to need to suck it up and eat the carbs instead of using the post work out drink? Thanks!
