I pretty much gave up fitocracy at that point (and in a sense, LG as a system) - I couldn't take it anymore. And with that, I have to give credit where credit is due and that is to Lyle for directing and enforcing a culture of learning and research on these forums. Brown-nosing notwithstanding, there is something to be said for ingraining the habits of searching the main site and the forums for articles instead of having it delivered to you on a silver platter. There is something to be said about being curious and wanting to understand why things work.
And it got annoying when I was constantly posting article links to other LGers or arguing with people about big-picture vs. dogmatic minutiae.
I agree. This field of health and fintess can be aggrivating. I was training wife at gym last night, omg I sound like such a hater it actually upset my wife because I just was hating on ppl hogging machiens and doing what I love to steal from martin and that is f arounditis. He did an awesome article on that. Lyle I hope that slang is ok, it was the title of his article.
I can see how the board here gets frustrated with some individuals but sometoimes you gotta just set things aside and know ppl are makikng the commitment here nad looking to improive. I sometimes think the board overall has a bit of an attitude issue but it is what it is. Not going to stop me from coming back and soaking of hte knowledge to get to the next level
