Default Discussion about Pope's Adonis Complex

Hi,

I'm in a discussion with an MD regarding the book "the Adonis Complex".
He claims that bodybuilding is always OCD/BDD, only strength training can be deemed to be normal (he is training himself).

Does anybody know anything about Pope's Training and Background? (Lyle wrote somewhere 6/weeks, 2h/day > unsuccessfull)

Are Pope's Arguments acutally firmly evidence based?

I found only this, but cant access it:

Any further sources?

People who are truly successful in almost any endeavor usually have some amount of OCD tendencies. Ask your physician friend what he thinks about someone like Dr. Drew or Donald Trump or any of those folks.

And I forgot where I got the idea that Pope did that kind of stupid trainig, think it was written by him himself but I haven't looked at the book in years.
