Default Ketosis and satiety.

I read a lot about ketosis and a lot of people say their apetite gets under control and they get to and hold optimal weight effortlessly. I am trying out keto, but still don't get this feeling. I still have to control my portions by effort.

Is there any benefit with regards to appetite or are people just idiots?

IME, some people have great appetite control on lowcarb diets, others not so much. Make sure you're eating enough protein sicne that's where most of the benefit is probably from anyhow

So it's not the case that ketosis lowers appetite for anyone as all the gurus advocate...

I have more then enought protein, I might try to lower it to see if deeper ketosis will work better becouse even more then 1g per pound of protein doesn't seem to satisfy hunger.

Otherwise I will just suck it up I guess.
