![]() Before you say that I should just stick to the program, I should say that I am a vegetarian and the only source of protein listed in this book(the rapid fatloss) that I can eat is non fat cheese. Since I am planning on doing this diet for 4-8 weeks I would like some variation for my sanity. Any suggestions?

![]() Actually I would either tell you to
a. Pick a different diet. b. Stop being a vegetarian. Since 'b' is unlikely to happen, I'd suggest 'a'. |

![]() Made from various vegan protein isolates, spices + disodium inosinate and disodium guanylate (from tapioca) to make it chicken or beef flavored. Much less than 1g carb/serving and 95%+ fat free. It's a complete protein (by my count of the amino acid breakdown) and it costs maybe $2-3 a day for 200g (of actual protein). Oh yeah, it tastes pretty great. It can be done. |

![]() Not really. Looks like compressed feces that have been grilled. To each his own, though, as long as it tastes good.
I was thinking the other day about this, how would one do RFL while being a vegan? Only think I could come up with was some kind of soy food. I guess RFL is really hard if you're vegan, and I wouldn't try it if I were. |

![]() Lyle - read your book. Seems like there are a lot of skeptics, but I'm not one of them. I've been doing a lousy job following your protocols and still have lost weight. The calorie deficit is obviously the key, but I still feel satisfied eating several meals a day that are high in protein. I have to say that I love meat and veggies in general, so this hasn't been that hard for me. The only problem I've had is some headaches and a little bit of brain fog, but otherwise going well. Lost about 15 lbs in the last month (discounting for water weight).

That's the great thing about this book/diet. Once you understand the mechanisms of how it works and set up your protein correctly you almost can't help but lose weight even if your adherence to the diet is less than perfect. People get too concerned about the tag along carbs/fats in my opinion. If a handful of tag along carbs/fats each day keep you from returning to your previous eating patterns it's still a huge win over the course of several weeks.
