Default Lower back/upper glute pain during leg press

I've been trying to figure out what this is exactly for awhile now. I've been doing leg press for a long time, and out of nowhere I started to slowly develop this pain in my lower back/upper glute area just on my right side. Best I can tell this is likely a piriformis issue just from what makes it feel better when stretching. I also don't think it's necessarily a hamstring tightness issue, because my hamstring is tighter on my left side, but that side has no issues.

My first inclination was that I was rounding my lower back during leg press, but it also hurt during single leg leg press. And it's virtually impossible to round your lower back with single leg.

I moved to a leg press machine which allows my body to be sitting up during it, and this seemed to improve things for a bit. Then I slowly transitioned back to the old leg press, but I cut the depth down and narrowed my stance (I even cut the depth with single leg) and this improved things further.

Then eventually, the issue crept up again. In fact, it's really more of an issue with single leg, than two legged leg press.

For what it's worth, squats aren't an issue.
