Default Diferent RFL?

Hello!

If I would like to loose fat loss, but I think RFL is very extreme...

What do you think if I mix, 2 days of rfl (proteins and vegetables) and the 3rd day a carb load 5 hours, and repeat this for six weeks?

Sorry for my bad english

Sure. If this still ends in a caloric deficit, you will lose fat. Just another cyclical ketogenic diet.

Why would you need to do a carb load so often? Are you extremely lean?

I think I've seen others on the forum who do a few RFL days mixed in with much less extreme days. There are also people who fast for a whole day and don't count calories on any of the other days. I would imagine that these methods only work for so long because it's easy to overdo it on the non-dieting, or non-extreme-dieting, days without tracking.

Yeah, I did this for around 6 weeks back when I was 20% or so body fat and it worked extremely well. Had two days a week at maintenance calories with <25g fat, 1g/ lb lbm in protein and rest carbs. Did full body workouts on the refeed days. Other 5 days were just some LISS cardio with 2g/ lb lbm protein and minimal carbs and fats. I think toward the end I started doing a half volume depletion type of workout like UD2 (3X15 for each movement) the day after the refeed. That worked well too. It just isn't feasible long-term as it's very difficult to eat such low calories for an extended period. The refeed days were my saving grace.

Oh and beware that if you do this you're probably gonna be an a** the whole time. I found it difficult to control my anger/patience on such low calories. Really puts you in a bad mood. Actually ended up ending a relationship over it but then I had abs so who's the real winner 😉

RFL for me is very extreme.
My problem is if I eat a low calorie diet eith carbs for example 100gr of carbs I have a lot of hungry, and I no do the diet and eat a lot.

If I eat 0 carbs I not have hungre, and I can do the diet althought the diet is 1200 kcal.

My problem is with RFL I am very tired, for that I thought to make 2 days RFL and 1 day refeed. Thats the reason.

The problem is I donīt know If this work ok.

Thank you Lyle. This website is a game changer once you understand the mechanisms behind fat loss/muscle gain.

Spun my wheels for years prior to finding this site.
