If it's not available on the site as an e-book, it's not available as an e-book. Nor will it ever be. Having recently seen someone FREAKING SELLING pirated copies of my e-books on a torrent site (e.g. making money off of something they stole from me), I can assure folks that I will never do an e-book again.

Lyle, I understand the strong feelings against some ebooks. Would you consider a Kindle version as Amazon claims better security for their authors?

Nope.

And here's why: all security is crackable. All of it. I grew up in the 80's, the heyday of computer game security. Companies threw absurd amounts of money at preventing piracy.

All it did was

a. raise the price of their products
b. annoy the legal end-user

because the pirates will ALWAYS figure out a way around it. Always. There has never been an uncrackable game, an uncrackable file, an uncrackable anything.

So it ends up accomplishing nothing. Bezos can claim whatever he wants, the pirates will crack kindle security within hours and you'll find Kindle books on torrent sites shortly thereafter. I'm quite sure Bezos knows this but he couldn't say it publicly.

So, in practice all you end up doing is raising your own cost, annoying legal end users and doing nothing to stop piracy. It's pointless as hell.

Not to mention that, if I did it as a kindle book, that then requires people to throw $300 at what I think is an expensive toy. A huge point of e-books is that they are cheaper than real books. Well, not if you have to pay $300 for the reader (and yes, I realize that that cost is amortized across the total number of books people buy).

Stubborn fat solution only has less than 200 pages anyway, but its the quality rather than the quantity that matters here. Its a great book in terms of understanding how fat works and etc. Lyle has really picked up where Dan Duchaine left off with the yohimbe and etc. I can definitely understand why this book would never come out in ebook form. Then people would skip right to the protocols and copy and paste them.
