I was going through the old BR newsletters recently and I swear I saw this exact Q&A from 2006. Are you doing re-runs or did I imagine it?

I wrote this one from scratch but that doesn't mean it wasn't addressed in some form or fashion previously. Let's face it: there are only so many relevant questions that can be asked until you're going to start revisiting old topics.

I find when I'm peaking I usually hate life. This is because I've been training heavily for weeks and I don't even feel like going to the gym anymore. I do my warm-ups and I feel like crap. Then I set a PR like it was nothing. Still feel like crap.

With regards to soreness, I really need to massage through it with a lacrosse ball. Otherwise my performance does suffer. This is a different type of soreness than DOMS, though.
