Learning a lot about cooking lately and caramelizing onions. I now see why the saute is in many recipes...

Start: 190.6 lbs
Week 1 Average: 187.0 lbs
Week 2 Average: 186.34 lbs
Week 3 Average: 186.17 lbs
Week 4 Average: 187.4 lbs
Week 5 Average: 187.32lbs
Week 6 Average: 188.2lbs

I'm slowly creeping up again. Time to get back to the calorie counting. Didn't think I would have to return to the fundamentals twice in this journal but it is what it is.

I have generally eaten healthier but I need to get focused on higher protein intakes. Eating legumes has helped with satiety quite a bit but I will see how the intake messes with my overall calorie intake.

My averages get logged every Tuesday but I'm gonna switch to Sundays that way I can get my weight logged in with some good rest the night before. My goal is still 170lbs or less so I have 18 pounds or so to go.

Yesterday was beans/rice for lunch. Dinner was some sausage, whitefish, brocolli, and squash. Not too bad.

Slowing going to start heading back down on the right path. Tired of checking my weight everyday so just going to go once every Sunday now.

I'm not concerned with trying to hit my bodyweight x 8 for calories anymore. I want to see how I feel / recomp at 2000-2200 calories per day. If I can lose a pound a week on that I will consider that good progress. I'll adjust to real world results from there. I'm thinking bodyweight x 8 is just too hard of a cut for me and could explain the constant relapses and binging.

Easily hit 2000 calories or under yesterday. Didn't feel like I was very restricted but I saw my weight take that initial drop this morning so I know I'm eating right. I'm going to eat at maintenance (2500 calories) every Sunday so I'll give myself a day to look forward too.

Yesterday I hit at exactly 2000 calories. Once again I'm reporting that 2k calories is pretty manageable. I'm eating plenty of fruit, veggies, and meats and mostly staying away from grains; not that they're bad but I would rather have my calorie allocation go towards filling foods (lean proteins, fruits, veggies, beans, etc)

Hitting caloric target again. My results should show Sunday. I have been peeking at my weight everyday on the scale and I have seen a drop so I know 2k a day is good. I'm also been sick for a few days unfortunately...I'm sure this is a factor in why my appetite is easier to suppress. Cut grass yesterday so got a good 1.5 hours of walking in.

Big drop. I met my caloric call all last week but I was also sick. not sure how much of this is actually fat and just water loss but I have been to the doctor today and hope to get better soon. My appetite is back and today I ate quite a bit. Back on it tomorrow.

I have still seen my weight in the 183-184 pound range the past few days. I have hit my caloric target everyday this week except yesterday I was at around 2200-2300 calorie range.

Week 9 Sunday: 184.8 lbs

This is more likely my true weight since I was sick during week 8. I hit my caloric target last week with the exception of this weekend; I ate a bit too much.

This week I'm going to focus on upping my protein intake. I'm consuming whey protein + greek yogurt in the morning to get an immediate 39 grams of protein in the morning. I'm thinking that making beef jerky would be pretty cost effective and a tasty way to get in more protein intake. Perhaps I can make a big batch, separate 8oz or so into some zip loc bags, and bring into work for lunches. I will have to see if I still have that food dehydrator in my house somewhere...I may have sold it; I can't remember.
