I always pace around between sets out of boredom, a lot of times it's just around the piece of equipment I was using since I don't want someone else thinks it's unused, it gets me some weird looks at the gym but I'm ok with it.

Funny. Just saw a program that pushes HIIT between sets. A 6-day split where one does like 20-25 sets and 1-2 minutes of HIIT b/t each lifting set, non-stop.

Sounds like fun, but seems like it would be impossible to recover from.

Yeah, and probably strength and output suffer as well. Not able to overload. Hence, not a lot of gains.

X10

Hiit might be one of those words that I instantly hate, along with 'healthy fats' and 'plant based protein'

i don't actually count how long i'm resting for, but 4 minutes does sound extremely excessive. and no, i am not a newbie, i have been lifting for years and have made extreme progress and i used to be a personal trainer.

i've never done hiit, but doing cardio WHILE you are weightlifting does not sound ideal. just go in, lift some f'ing weights, and go ham

Seriously, you're using "the personal trainer" card as an argument of you being knowledgeable?
