Default the question of category 2 and the 5 hour carb refeeds

i've listened to lyle's latest podcasts/interviews, and he's mentioned that the 5 hour refeed does not help fight against adaptations that take place during dieting.

are people on this board taking what he said, and applying it to their category 2 plan? and by that, i mean are we just not doing the weekly 5 hour carb refeed anymore as category 2 RFL'ers?

because my understanding from his podcasts/interviews, is that lyle talks about the 5 hour refeeds in a context of 'dieting that is not RFL'. but dieting that is RFL, would still require the 5 hour refeeds.

is this correct?

I saw the podcast and read many of Lyle's posts on the topics, I do a 1/2 day refeed or better yet 12-6 (6hrs) and I always have. Helps prevent me eating way to damn much.

I find this works great.

Maybe the 5hour doesn't get your hormones back 100% but maybe it does just enough to keep things going with fat loss even if it is only a 20-25% improvement, maybe that is enough?, at least that is what I see from years of doing this.
