Hey Lyle,

A question regarding this statement:

The thermic effect of activity (TEA) goes down due to the reduction in bodyweight along with an increase in efficiency within skeletal muscle (the body burns less calories at any given energy expenditure); this can be compensated for by increasing the volume or intensity of exercise.
Would wearing a weighted vest or other type of weighted clothing for 4/8/12/16 hours a day stop this reduction in TEA?

I have made that suggestion in at least two books but it will only cancel out part of the reduction, the one due to bodyweight. There is also an impact due to increased exercise efficiency that won't be affected.

You know how to market this stuff. I remember reading somewhere that you turned a friend down who kept asking you to create the ultimate diet drug. Well, if you wanted to get filthy stinking rich, I'd buy your drug just on merit alone. Still not too late..

I didn't know about the L-Tyrosine thing. That was my one gripe with ephedrine. Stuff gives me anxiety that I felt was hardly worth the extra calories it burned. I'd normally just eat them back because I was stressed out once the appetite suppressing wore off. That's what I get for skim reading. Cool article.
