Default CKD/Keto diet Vs Calorie deficit

Is there any advantage going with a CKD/Keto diet? Could you get the same results with just with a caloric deficit, i know it's what causes fat loss, but i've read in "Comparing the Diets 4" That you cant get rid of stubborn body fat with a high carb diet. Is that the only advantage, if it really is?

Thank you!

and to be honest: when you get to the point of bodyfat where stubborn fat loss is an issue, you probably wont be high carbing anyways since calories in general are pretty low

Just to echo what Lyle said, for me personally ketosis really helps at lower bodyfat levels with keeping hunger/carvings at bay. I'm only around 14% bf but even such it was hard to stay on track with a 40/40/20 and lower calories, switching to a ketogenic diet feels like a breeze.
