Default Carb Up: If You Had To Pick One...

...food or meal for every carbup meal what would it be?

A little criteria:

* The one food would give you the best balance between taste, digestion, and of course, results.

Eying my first carbup. Figure this could be a fun way to get some ideas.

Thanks.

KY

Rotini pasta with marinara sauce and a light sprinkling of parmesan cheese. If you browse my UD2 log I suggest foods from time to time.

Another great one is fat free sugar free pudding with a few servings of pretzels. Dip the pretzels in the pudding, or just crush them up and mix them in.

On the sugary foods list of course there's Breyer's All Natural Fat Free Double Churn Ice Cream. You would never know it's fat free. Then of course, Fruity Pebbles and Cap'n Crunch.

I really think the UD2.0 forum could use a Carb Load Foods sticky that people can build on.

French bread pizza. Get french bread, fat free pizza sauce, hormel turkey pepperoni, and fat free feta. Comes out to around 110c/25p/5f when I make it. Delicious. That, or lifesaver gummies.

I second the sticky on carb up choices. Perhaps it would eliminate many of the repetitive questions regarding it. I would like to know also, but "fear" getting slammed or pissing off The Man!!!

Another vote for bagels and/or soft pretzels.

bagels come in all varieties so you can pick and choose, never get bored with them

Soft pretzels on the other hand can be topped with ANYTHING, not just salt, and taste good. Cinnamon and sugar or mustard or pepperoni/sauce/cheese, or even just chocolate, or a little peanut butter or both. Or they're good plain or toasted with garlic.

I used to load up with pasta but the dryer nature of bagels, pretzels and other bready carbs results in less sloppy refeeds for me.

i've never tried the soft pretzel thing but i can see the versatility of them

sweet potatoes digest easy and are amazing with cinnamon sugar, maple sugar, or those little mini marshmallows melted on top.....

going to a movie with swedish fish and airheads never hurt either.

Bagels, Lucky Charms, Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Rice, with cold milk and table sugar depending on what the carb load content has looked like... way underrated.
