Default Carb Load Overspill - any scientific method to monitor.

OK so after a period, lets say 5-10 days in ketosis, its time for a carb load day. I seem to get on ok with about 8g/KG of LBM for one day over 6-7 means, however thats just determined by looking at myself in the mirror.

Im wondering if there is any scentific method (maybe using a glucometer) every hour for example during the carb load, to determine when the muscle and liver glycogen has been refilled and and the excess carbohydrates and thus sugars are then available to be stored as fat.

This is of interest to me for both a pre-contest carb load and for generally making the carb load between ketosis periods as efficient as possible without regaining far (or at least minimising it)
