Default Novice bodybuilding template from Helms' Muscle and Strength Training Pyramid book

Thoughts on the Novice bodybuilding template from Helms' Muscle and Strength Training Pyramid book?

I've been training 10 years, but I'm coming back from a 2 month layoff from open heart surgery and I think some linear progression could be good. Also, I'm starting a lean long bulk.
