Default Maximizing Fat Oxidation

As per Lyle's article

it gives a sample workout routine (tension and depletion on friday)...I was wondering if there is any new research or changes made to this. I am starting back on the CKD for a couple months and wanted to know if I should still be training like this. I like the sample workout and follow it pretty much to a "T".
