Default Eating Too Frequently

So the Protein Book I see explains that it may be detrimental too eat too frequently. Does this imply that if I eat a meal I shouldnt eat again in an hour or so, or does it generally mean 'dont intentially eat every 30 minutes'

Have I misunderstood something? It says "At this point it would appear that eating too frequently (less than every 3 hours) has no real benefit, and could possibly be detrimental due to the muscle becoming insesnsitive to the impact of amino acids".

I understand all the points made in this chapter I think, but I am not sure if I should be concerned. For example if I eat at 4 pm and then my gf calls me up and we eat an early dinner at 5pm or 6pm is this detrimental or even if i do this on a daily basis? Or should I just not ALWAYS attemp to eat very often because it doesn't provide any real benefits?

I guess what I am asking is if I should be very concerned with eating too frequently or if I should just know it isn't beneficial

Without reading the book or anything:

I think what Lyle is talking about is very systematic high frequency meal intake. Once or twice won't do much.

Yeah, I know you still want Lyle's answer.

He is just saying that there isn't much of a benefit for eating too frequently like the way bodybuilders do. It takes the body a certain amount of time to digest protein, so if you do choose to eat say an hour later, its not going to help.

Right so generally I shouldnt even worry about it, just not INTENTIALLY go out and eat every 20 minutes
