Default Costco vs Sams Club?

Which is better? or, which do you prefer and why?

I've had memberships at both. Can't say I really see much difference in the two. I'd personally just pick the one that's most conveniently located for you.

I've had memberships at both. Costco sucks.

The aisles are numbered. There are no words like "condiments" or something. Just numbers.

The employees are rude, at least the ones at mine were.

Their selection sucks. They didn't carry Diet Dr. Pepper for crying out loud.

Sams Club for the win.

Selection and price are the most important things for me. What else did you notice they didn't have besides DDPepper?

I love CostCo here in Calgary. For groceries and household incidentals, mostly. I live all of two minutes away from one. She's convenient.

Service is amazing. Selection could be better, but they cover most of the essentials. Everything is such a rip-off here that you're literally spending twice as much for the same/inferior goods if you're not shopping at CostCo. Excepting a couple items here and there that Wal-Mart and Superstore have recently become competitive on.

Also, we don't have Sam's in Canuckistan (not anymore), so.

I think they are about equal. Around here seems like Costco might be considered slightly more upscale. That's the feeling I get anyway.

I don't use either one very often anymore, but I have memeberships to both and tend to use Costco more because of it's location being on my way home from work.

I have both.

In my area Costco is a little more "upscale". The selection of high end brands is better, they have more cheeses, wines, and seafood.

Sams has better prices on paper goods, cleaning supplies, chicken breast, and lean burger.

Both of them near me are clean and well managed as best I can tell.

It just depends on your area has been my experience.

I have had both, current membership is with Sams and it (partially)sucks. No consistency in the products they carry and they change brands very often. The only reason I am still continuing is because of the location, its just a few blocks away from my house. Customer service is good and the store is always clean.

PS: No red onions since last two weeks.

I think Cosco has more variety of goods but I agree that the layout of their goods aren't friendly at all. Cosco has a lot of free taste test also and very good roasted chicken for $5

I'm not sure I see teh issue at Costco. Everyone I've been too is laid out the same. You wander it once to figure out the 6 items you're going to buy each trip and just go there every time.
