Basically envision a patient lying down on an exam table while the doctor is digging his elbow into the patient's leg. It goes anywhere from him holding pressure on a spot just using his fingers and moving my leg through various motions to using the elbow and again moving the leg around a bit, to just digging hard with the elbow.
Funny thing is you think after such treatment you would be very sore and such, but recovery comes very quickly. Literally right after the pain was greatly diminished and I was able to do a 1 legged squat on the right leg sans pain, whereas before I couldnt squat on both legs without cringing. Oh, and house closing went well. Now we have joined the ranks of the renters, first time for me. I went straight from living at my parents house to owning my first townhouse. Wont be long though, our house purchase is scheduled in less than 2 weeks. |

Week of March 12-18th:
Typical maintenance week, I worked out a few times, ate whatever. The house front is still moving along nicely, we are now renters, and will once again be homeowners as of tomorrow when we close on our next house. Going to be a week of cramming in moves whenever I can, plus a bunch of repair work to the house. Only drawback with workouts lately has been a groin injury on my left side. My doctor buddy is out of town, so havent been able to have it worked on either. My right leg is doing well though. Plans at this point are to somehow arrive at the strongman contest in june at the 200lb weight class and in decent contest shape. Not sure how that will happen yet, Im a good 15lbs heavy (not counting easily dropped water) and I really dont feel like dieting, especially when injured. |

The move went very well, we couldnt have asked for better spring weather than we had. Winter here ended very fast and dry, we had absolutely no precipitation in march (never happened before on record here). Warm weather hit, and the snow melted very fast and the yard was dry and stable for when I had to drive all over it in late march.
Took 2 weekends to move everything, it was a very exhaustive time, but it's all done now. I managed to cram what was in my 5 car garage spaces into my current 2 car garage, its ugly but at least most of it fit. Slowly getting the house set up, and some things are working out better than planned. The home theater projector setup is better, I managed to move it back further than it used to be, so now the screen size is larger than before. Been getting estimates on my concrete work for building a nice garage in my backyard, oddly they are slow to come by. I called about 10 different contractors, and only about half of them actually showed up and gave me an estimate. Weightlifting has been on haitus for a bit, the move was plenty of activity, and I decided to take my yearly break now to recuperate. Fat loss seems to be going well, Ive finally broken the stalemate and started to see some loss in my ab region. Still going to be a tough run to hit 200 for the competition in june, hopefully Ill make it. Might even be able to try out UD2 in a month or so. |

Nearly another 2 weeks have gone by and while my fat loss seems to be going well, my weight loss is stalled. Abs are continuing to lean out which Im very happy for, although I seem to be holding a lot of water since my weight isnt dropping.
Contest is about 2 months out now, and Im sitting at 225lbs, which is about 15-20lbs over what I need to be in order to cut water to 200lbs. Guess what I will do is try to whittle the calories down just a bit and see how that goes, at this point I just need to maintain strength and I need to up my conditioning otherwise those events will just own me. A few of the events are pretty short, but some of them are really strenuous and being out of condition for them wouldnt go well. If I can't make the weight Ill just have to compete at 231lbs and get owned. I have no chance against those guys, strengthwise most of them are well beyond me, some of them are getting assistance at that weightclass. |
