Red face The Dumbs

Had my first free meal last night (overdid it ) and back to the grind today. Noticed and had it pointed out to me that I'm very spacey and grouchy today.

Have any of you RFL veterans had a case of the dumbs? What was your solution?

I currently have three protein meals around 7AM, 2PM, and 6PM and have a small bowl of salsa, crushed peppers, and Morton Lite later as a snack.

Will try IF'ing tomorrow to see if that helps, but any advise would be great.

Thanks much!

I have noticed periods of major dizziness, and I've gotten a couple of comments from co-workers who don't know I'm dieting that I've been "out of it" this month.

On the other hand, other co-workers have asked me what drug I'm taking, because my energy level is through the roof.

So, I'm a ditzy energizer bunny?

Luckily, I have no increases in energy to offset the spaciness, but do have crankiness. None of that good with the bad stuff. Will see how today goes. It would be weird for RFL not to be right for me as I'm not a very active person.

Had a very bad case of the angries several times, usually around week 3. But only for a day or so.

Never felt less alert though. Some people react better or worse to ketosis mentally, could be that.

In high-fat ketosis, I'm usually not so stupid and grouchy. Well, I'm not aware of it, anyways...

Think I found part of it! The whey! I went from two scoops of MPI or micellar casein to a scoop of one of those and a scoop of whey. Along w/being pure awesome, whey is more insulinergic (is that a real word?) than casein, so I could be draining what little circulating blood sugar I have more quickly.

Not that I'm much better after my nightly tuna, but it might explain morning dumbs and grouchies.

When my brain stops working (often), there's three possible solutions

a) carbs
b) electrolytes
c) sleep

RFL excludes a), but you can work on b) and c).

Thanks, Easyrhino!

I had three places to fail and liberally chose all three.

Okay. Added the extra magnesium and sleep and am still getting spacey. Was already getting plenty of sodium and potassium. Do I need even more sleep?

I'm too dumb to fight the dumbs.

edited to add:

Would IF w/3 meals exacerbate or ameliorate the fog?

What do you do for activity? Could be too much of it.

I'm a phone monkey at a network operations center. A lot of braincell use and a little walking, but nothing of a strenuous nature.
