Default Pull-ups and push-ups as interval exercises

I've recently integrated SFP 2.0 into my routine. I'm doing it once a week on the day when I used to have a body-weight training (pull-ups, push-ups, abs, etc.). So it seemed naturally to use pull-ups as a short interval exercise and push-ups as a long interval exercise. But I'm not sure whether it is a good idea or not. My major concern is these are not full-body exercises.
