Default UD2 Mass - Fat Intake

Hi All,

Quick question.

When calculating Maintenance Calories for Mon-Thur & Sat/Sun, am I maintaining 50g of Fats during those days? It is not mentioned in the book.

Currently, Lyle has mentioned on the forums 100-120g carbs instead of the regular 50g to skirt ketosis.

But there is no mention of how to break down Protein & Fats? To be more specific, my maintenance is 1700 Calories. Which option do I take:




It would be MUCH easier for me to intake 156g of protein and up my fats to 75grams, however if anyone has done this before - must fats remain @ 50grams like in the UD2 Fat loss variant.

50 grs of fat is only for Friday and Saturday, when you will be having far more than 100 grs of carbs.

Monday to Thursday you can have as much fat as you need to get to your maintenance (or desired calorie level) after you have accounted for you protein requirements and the 100-120 grs of carbs.

Whether you can consume more than 50 grs of fat Friday and Saturday on the mass variant I can't tell, but I have never been able to keep fat under 50 grs and the results have been great anyway.

Lyle mentions don't go over 50 grs unless you are a big guy but doesn't say what a big guy is.
